The Fishing Lakes at Borris – fishery near Skjern and Ringkøbing

There are 3 lakes and fresh water is flowing into the northen lake from Overby bæk. From here the water is led down to the other two fishing lakes.

In the 2 lower fishponds trout are put out in size from 500 to 9,000 grams. At the lower lake, located south of Arnborgvej and down towards the River Skjern, there are excellent opportunities for fly fishing, as there is plenty of room around the lake for this purpose.

The upper lake is a so-called §3 lake - one Vildtsø. In this lake there are pike, carp and other game fish. The rules say that they should be put out again (so-called catch and release).

There are good parking facilities, a roofed shelter, fish cleaning tables with running water and toilet. There are many tables and benches around the lakes, so the family can enjoy their lunches as well as the natural beauty of the lakes and the River Skjern.

The Fishing lakes at Borris is located in a scenic area by the road, Arnborgvej 43, between Borris and Sønder Felding.

If you look south - Skjern River is flowing through the countryside, and further south there is a large military training area.

The two fishponds are dug in the previous Ahler Østergaard Fish Farm - one of Denmark's first fish farms, established in the early 1900s.

You can pay cash either in danish kroners or euros.
